Ride and Stride Walk - St John 's Church
Saturday, 13 September, 2025
Meet at St John's Church at 10.00

Ride and Stride is here again in aid of Dorset Historic Churches Trust. 50% of the sum we raise will come back to St John's so we are hoping for a good crowd to join us as we walk the woods and by-ways around Tolpuddle.

We have a planned group walk of about 5 miles and plan to meet at the church at 10am and will walk the route anti-clockwise (see map). Anyone who does not want to walk the whole route could walk as far as Athelhampton and then head back on the level path. The walk takes about an hour and a half and refreshments will be waiting on our return at the church.

Other Ride and Striders will be visiting our church that day and we would be very grateful for volunteers to man the church tera and coffee stall during the day.

Anyone who can’t be around to do the walk can always help by sponsoring us through this Just Giving link:

This is a great village event and made all the better by the community spirit it generates. Helpers are needed to make sure it runs smoothly.

We will need:-

People to provide main or dessert course for 6 people - a complimentary ticket is offered to all those doing a Main Course

2 people at a time to run the bar

4 people to serve at table

Raffle prizes

People to help set up and clear away the hall.
