Barn Dance in the Village Hall
Saturday, 22 November, 2025 at 7pm Dancing starts at 7.30pm
Organised by The Old Chapel Events Team with No Strings Attached.
This will be a fun evening with live music supplied by No Strings Attached and a Caller to tell you what all the dance steps are so you won't need to know any of the moves beforehand.
There will also be a pay bar so do come along and make it a great social evening and hopefully meet some of the new residents who have recently moved into the village.

Tolpuddle Village's Christmas Market and Light Up

Tolpuddle Children's Christmas Party for the children of Tolpuddle and Southover

Once again Hannah and Rosie will be organising the Children’s Christmas party to be held in the Village Hall on Sunday 14th December 2.00pm until 4.00pm. In past years the Tolpuddle Events Committee has sponsored this event but as this committee was disbanded in March this year, there are no funds available to do this. To make sure that this event does go ahead for the children of the village, Mark has very kindly allowed a donation jar to be placed in the Martyrs Inn so if you can spare a little cash it will allow the party to go ahead and make a lot of children happy. To cover costs of food and presents we will need about £120 but the more the better.
Thanks again to Hannah and Rosie for putting this all together.
Christmas Quiz Night in the Martyrs Inn

It is confirmed by our Quiz Masters Anna and Glen that the last Quiz Night for this year will be on 18th December. If you have not booked your place please do so asap. Teams of 4 - 6. £2 per person.
The best dressed Santa on 18th Dec will get an extra prize.

Coming Soon:
Tolpuddle Old Chapel - Sunday Sessions
We are now in a position to move forward on our proposed Sunday Sessions at the Tolpuddle Old Chapel.
These will be held on the first Sunday of the month, 5.00pm until 7.00pm (all being well starting in January 2026) with refreshments of tea, coffee and cake available.
We already have some firm bookings which include Sophie Wright, Tim Laycock, the Canzonetta acapella choir and a string quartet. We are still in discussion with other possible performers including a Cello recital and hope to have a full and varied programme of events for the New Year. Watch this space: more details to follow in the New Year.
