Easter Services
22 March Go Fourth Service, St John's at 10.00
29 March Palm Sunday - 11am United Benefice Communion at Dewlish Church followed by a bring-and-share lunch.
3 April Good Friday - 10am - a solemn service, the church is stripped of decoration to mark the sadness of the day.
5 April Easter Sunday - 9.30am - a Holy Communion service of joyous celebration of the resurrection of Jesus.

Overview:
Tom Balch from Rose of Jericho delivers the first of our hands-on practical sessions for owners of listed and period properties
Rose of Jericho manufacture a range of traditional lime wash and distemper paints, slake lime and mature lime putty, prepare ready-mixed mortars and plasters and produce graded stone-dusts.
Clients include the Royal Household, Historic Royal Palaces and many cathedrals, but the majority of their customers are ordinary owners of cottages, townhouses and farmhouses throughout the UK.
Tom will be talking in detail about the use of traditional paints and lime mortars, and participants will have the opportunity to mix and use paints themselves.

This is a session suitable for beginners and the more advanced. If you have been to a session before you may decide to develop and work on your own project. If this is the case please let me know in advance so I can bring suitable textures and stamps for your project.
The demonstration for tonight is a slab built textured piece with animal/bird.
Pieces will be kiln fired and ready about 2-3 weeks later.
There are even tea and coffee facilities.
Refunds on classes are not available if cancelled less than 14 days before the class.

Tolpuddle Old Chapel presents the third of The Sunday Sessions 2026

Sunday, 12 April, 2026 at the Old Chapel

The idea behind these Sunday Sessions is to offer alternative music and drama in a small and atmospheric location for which the Old Chapel is ideal. Because of its size, tickets will be limited to 30 seats and it is advisable to purchase them prior to the event.
On Sunday 12th April we welcome local cello quartet, CelloVoci, who will be performing from 5pm until 7pm with an interval where tea, coffee and cake will be available to purchase.
Tickets £5pp will be available to purchase either via the Eventbright link, cash or BACS.

Reducing Anxiety Course: a programme for children whose anxiety fuels their negative thinking.
Beginning Monday, 20 April, 2026 5pm - 6pm at Tolpuddle Old Chapel
This is a 6-week programme for children aged 9-13 years.
Developed at The Resilience Centre in Australia, it's a strengths-based programme which teaches your child how to master their thinking through optimism and hope. The sessions are fun and interactive with a relaxed feel to encourage learning, self-expression and sharing helpful ideas in a safe space using a strengths-based approach.
Who is it for: Children aged 9-13 years who are experiencing anxiety.
Maximum 8 children per group.
This programme is run as a 6-week course of 1 hour per week on Mondays, 5pm - 6pm.
A parent/carer information sheet is sent home each week.
Course dates: 20th April, 27th April, 11th May, 18th May, 1st June, 8th June
Location: Tolpuddle Old Chapel.
Cost: £150 per child bookable in advance with Suzanne, Learn2Flourish.

The idea behind these Sunday Sessions is to offer alternative music and drama in a small and atmospheric location for which the Old Chapel is ideal. Because of its size, tickets will be limited to 30 seats and it is advisable to purchase them prior to the event.
Our fourth offering in the Sunday Sessions series will be on Sunday 3rd May where we play host to the Canzonetta Choir who will be performing a 45 minute session for us from 5pm until 6pm.
